Seminar Room, 125
Presented by Dr. Loren Thomas and Rosy Elliott
The Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage across Spain. The best known route is 800 km (500 miles) from just inside the French border to Santiago de Compestelo. There are a variety of routes, most can be done on bike or on foot. Bicycling the Camino can take between 10 days for those on fast road bikes without gear to a month. Lodging options vary from donation based albergues to private albergues or hostels, to small hotels to high-end paradors. Opportunities abound for cultural experiences, religious or spiritual experiences, great food, and meeting cool people. This seminar will talk about the how-to of cycling the Camino, financial considerations, and logistical details.
