Cycling doesn’t have to stop when motherhood begins! Whether you’re a pregnant rider looking to stay active or a postpartum cyclist eager to get back in the saddle, this session is designed to help you navigate the unique challenges of riding before, during and after pregnancy.
Led by Jemila Medley, a Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapist who is a Pre & Postnatal Exercise Specialist along with Dr. Jeanne Williams, a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is a USA Cycling Certified Coach and professional bike fitter, this workshop will dive into key topics for cycling moms, including:
- Pelvic floor & core strength – How to maintain stability, prevent discomfort, and recover effectively with expert strategies. We’ll also debunk common myths on core strength training and exercising while pregnant.
- Training considerations with pregnancy – fueling, hydration, and how to adjust training intensity using RPE and heart rate zones.
- Bike fit for changing bodies – Adjustments to keep you comfortable and efficient as your body evolves through pregnancy and postpartum.
- Safe riding & handling skills – How to modify your riding position, balance, and technique for confidence on the road or trail.
Motherhood doesn’t mean sidelining your passion for cycling—learn how to keep riding strong through every stage. Whether you’re a seasoned racer, weekend warrior, or casual rider, this session will give you the tools to pedal through pregnancy and postpartum with confidence!
