After losing significant physical capability due to complications from cobalt prosthetic hip replacements, I was forced to completely rethink my mobility, identity, and relationship with my body. In this seminar, I share how cycling — and ultimately investing in a fully customized bicycle — became a powerful tool in my physical and psychological recovery.
I will discuss the challenges of living with hip prosthetics, the setbacks I faced, and how adapting equipment to fit my specific limitations allowed me to regain strength, endurance, and confidence. This session explores the intersection of rehabilitation, biomechanics, and mindset, and highlights how tailored solutions can transform perceived limitations into sustainable progress.
Whether you are recovering from injury, managing long-term physical changes, or supporting others through rehabilitation, this seminar offers practical insights and an honest perspective on resilience, adaptation, and reclaiming movement through cycling.
