Colorado frame builders have a long-established tradition of producing top-quality bikes, which means newcomers to the state’s frame building industry have to announce their arrival with high quality work.
Acoustic Cycles is based in the community of Pine, southwest of Denver. Frame builder Zach Geller will have turned some heads with his latest design, a prototype enduro frame.
Premium components are all over this bike. As for the design features, enginerds, get ready! A high pivot, horst link design and mixture of 4130 and Stainless Steel comprise the frame basics. Rear travel is 160mm of rear travel, 29″ wheels, Push 11.6 coil shock, 3D printed idler pulley, tapered 44/56 paragon headtube, custom headbadge (made in-house), a Rockshox Zeb fork with Vorsprung Smashpot coil conversion, Ignite Cranks, Industry Nine/Velocity Wheelset, Engin Cycles Stem/Seatpost Clamp, White Industries Headset, and an Aenomaly Switchgrade.
The aluminum rocker links were machined by Adam Prosise of Prosise Metalworks, and stainless steel pivots/dropouts by Sean Handerhan of Handerhan Cycles.
Acoustic Cycles says they integrate precision engineering and design with an individual rider’s dimensions to create the perfect match of machine and man. From the looks of things, Zach seeks perfection across the age range.
